Tris-NAC contains two highly synergistic and innovative active substances that break down bacterial and fungal biofilms, and has high ionic strength. Tris-EDTA alters the permeability of the cell membranes of bacteria and fungi and helps prevent the formation of new biofilm, while the N-acetylcysteine breaks down existing biofilm. Designed for use in dogs and cats, and is safe to use in dogs with ruptured eardrums (but not in cats with ruptured eardrums). It can be used in conjunction with Otodine® and products from the Peptivet range.
